Ingeniería de Sistemas (Software Systems Engineering)
Reseña Histórica Programa de Ingeniería de Sistemas (Software Systems Engineering)
The Governing Council of the University of San Buenaventura, authorized the creation of the undergraduate program of Systems Engineering with Emphasis in Financial Administration, on January 18, 1983, which was made official through Resolution of the General Rectory No. 301 of September 21, March 1983. The program began academic activities in January of 1984.
From 1998 the name is modified, eliminating from this the reference to "Emphasis in Financial Administration". Thus began the new orientation of the program towards software engineering, based on the guidelines of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), specifically the Computing Curriculum documents of Computer Society and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
In 2002, the program obtained the recognition of High Quality, thanks to the solidity of its academic and administrative processes. Currently, the program has more than five hundred (500) graduates, most of them holding important positions in companies in the region, others leading their development companies and some abroad working in information technology companies.
In February 2010, the renewal of accreditation was received by the National Accreditation Council and in May 2014 a visit was received for the second renewal of accreditation of the Program.
