Religious and Franciscan priest of the Province of the Holy Faith of Colombia. He was ordained to the priesthood on December 2011 in Bogota.

The Academic Vice Rector’s Office of the University is a first class unit that coordinates the planning, organization, development, control and evaluation of all academic processes, in permanent consultation with the Rector’s Office. It works jointly with all academic units and academic support units. He chairs five advisory committees, namely: “Academic Committee, Institutional Curriculum Committee, Intellectual Property Committee and Faculty Development Committee”. He is the leader of the High Quality Institutional Accreditation Process.

Functions of the Academic Vice Rector’s Office (Article 30 of the Organic Statutes)

  • To ensure compliance with institutional policies regarding academic matters, in coordination with the Administrative and Financial Vice Rector.
  • To guide the development of the substantive functions of teaching, research, social projection and institutional welfare of the University, based on the guidelines established in the Bonaventurian Educational Project.
  • To guide, coordinate and evaluate the development of the academic processes of the University together with the deans and the heads of the other academic units.
  • Periodically submit reports to the Rector of the respective branch or sectional, on the results of academic management.
  • Participate in the preparation of the budget of the academic area of the headquarters or sectional in coordination with the Administrative and Financial Vice Rectory.
  • Lead the quality assurance processes of the academic programs and the institution.
  • All other functions that correspond to him/her according to the laws, statutes and general regulations of the University and internal regulations of the headquarters or branch, as well as those assigned to him/her by the University authorities.
