International Internships

International internships may be carried out under the following modalities:

 

  • The student will be able to contact the company directly to
    to carry out the practice
  • According to the agreement signed with the university of your choice
    the student will
    may apply for available student internship slots.

    which are under a mobility agreement are non-remunerated.

The international internship must be formalized before the ORI and the Student Internship Office of the USBCali with some regulatory forms that will be sent to the student via email, in addition, he/she must have a medical insurance of labor coverage.

Volunteers

Volunteers are social programs that take you to live an international experience.
in different communities. These are non-remunerated programs and invite you to:

  • To develop young people’s analytical, critical and proactive capacity for social dynamics.
  • To generate alternatives that contribute to the improvement of their quality of life and make possible the realization of a personal, family and social life project.
  • Social awareness and sensitivity.
  • Sense of belonging and national identity.
  • Strengthen the social fabric and organizational capacity of the communities.

Au pair

It is a program that invites you to live the experience of supporting a family in another country by taking care of the children who live there, but you receive housing, medical insurance and a stipend that allows you to study and have for other expenses. This program allows you to:

  • Improve knowledge of another language
  • Living the experience of being part of a foreign family
  • Travel and get to know another country

Camps

For this program you must already be a bilingual student and it allows you to work for a summer in the United States, with a good bonus. For this program keep in mind the following:

  • Speak English fluently
  • Do not exceed 26 years of age
  • You must bear the cost of your round-trip airfare.
  • J-1 visa must be obtained
  • You will learn about American culture.
  • You interact with people from other countries.

Academic Missions

Short stay at a national or international level that is finally certified by the host university, granting credit equivalency according to the academic program.
To access an academic mission you must take into account the following:

  • Not being in academic condition
  • Present a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above.
  • Submit complete documentation

Double Degree

Our Business Administration program of the School of Economics has signed an agreement with the University College Birmingham in the United Kingdom, which will benefit students who have completed the academic credits corresponding to the seventh semester of the day program or ninth semester for the evening program, so that the last two semesters of the curriculum are taken in the United Kingdom, at the end of which the student will receive a diploma accredited by the University of Birmingham.

With the signing of this agreement our students will be able to access double degrees within the framework of the internationalization of our university. Among the requirements to be fulfilled to apply through this agreement, the student must take into account the following:

  • Complete the credits that accredit him/her in the seventh semester if he/she is in the Administration program during the day or in the ninth semester if he/she is in the night program.
  • Meet a cumulative GPA of 3.8 and above.
  • Meet an IELTS English proficiency level of 6.0 with no component below 5.5
  • Apply for the student visa according to the letter of acceptance by the host university.
  • Assume the costs of registration to the program
