He holds a degree in philosophy and theology from the Universidad de San Buenaventura Bogotá and a master’s degree in educational sciences. He has been a member of the Franciscan community of the Holy Faith Province of Colombia since 1990 and was ordained a priest in December 1999. He has served in various capacities in the community and is currently Vice Rector for the Evangelization of Cultures.
The Vice Rector’s Office for the Evangelization of Cultures is an Academic and Administrative Unit that seeks to reach out to the entire university community in its cultural, ethnic, religious and thought diversity, through fraternal encounter and respectful dialogue, enlightened by the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ and Franciscan spirituality. Therefore, it fosters dialogue between faith and science, faith and reason, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, affirming the Franciscan identity and Bonaventurian philosophy in accordance with the substantive functions of our Alma Mater.
On the other hand, the Vice Rector’s Office for the Evangelization of Cultures guides, coordinates and evaluates the development of the processes of the Interdisciplinary Center for Humanistic Studies -CIDEH- and the University Pastoral in accordance with Franciscan thought.
